Traditionally Realtors will charge you 6 or 7% to list your home! The 6 or 7% commission is usually split between the Listing Agent and the Buyer's Agent. By putting your home on the MLS for a Flat Fee, you are saving a minimum of 3% of the sales price of your home.
On a $200,000 home that savings is $6000. Your only obligation is to pay the Buyer's Agent their 3% if they bring a buyer. If your buyer comes without an agent, your only expense was the flat fee to put your home on the MLS.
